Morganfield’s is known for their big servings of ribs, rustic interiors, and cute pig-inspired mugs. But my latest Zomato FMU made me realize that it’s more than that.
Last Thursday, I went to SM Mall of Asia to try the newest promotion of Morganfield’s. It’s an ALL YOU CAN EAT treat for people with big love for meat. I actually thought this promotion, which will last from September 11 to October 15, 2017, is made for me as I truly have a big appetite for ribs and chicken.
I actually like the interiors of the restaurant. It has rugged and rustic feel which is very appropriate for the food it offers. The place is relatively big with a second floor which is good for a more intimate dining experience. It still has the iconic PIGS DO FLY wall art that I love.
Now let’s go to the food!
I was so lucky to have first dibs on the newest treat of Morganfield’s MOA. It’s an ALL YOU CAN EAT promo for just 695php every weekday from 11-2 PM and 6-9 PM. It is is ala carte style and first serving consists of 4-bone Savory Sweet Spare Ribs, 1/8 chicken, and sausage. Check the below photo (thanks @ilovetoeatph!) for the mechanics.
I loved the fall-off-the-bone ribs. It was so tender! I actually got surprised that I liked the Savory Sweet flavor as my default is the Garlicky BBQ variant. The chicken was also good too and the flavor was spot on. My other favorite would be their sausage. It was juicy and really flavorful.
You can choose the appetizers and side dishes for your meat. I would recommend the bacon wrapped meatballs and mashed potato. The Bacon and Egg Aglio Olio was actually good too! I loved the bacon bits in the pasta and the perfectly cooked egg on top. It’s garnished with garlic and chili which added to the overall taste of this dish.
For 695php, I honestly think that this is promotion is a catch. You can have unlimited ribs, sausages, pasta, chicken, and salad. That alone is really sulit. Another reason is that this promo comes with a bottomless soda or iced tea. Oh yes!
Pro tip: focus on the ribs and sausages. I swear! Thank me later!
